Hi, I’m Sam — a writer and director based in Los Angeles. My short film Seeking Sugar is currently on its festival run, screening at six festivals so far, including the Oscar-qualifying LA Shorts. 

I graduated from NYU Tisch in 2021 and have since had the opportunity to work with and learn from incredible female directors such as Julie Anne Robinson, Jody Hahn, and Ellen Goosenberg Kent on projects for Hulu, ABC, and Disney+.

I’m drawn to stories and visuals that make the familiar uncanny — worlds that blend humor and darkness, existing somewhere between real life and a dream.
